*Continued from Ships in the Knight*
As the ships emerged from hyperspace, Farren plugged in the coordinates for the landing site and set the ship to autopilot, leading the way. He turned to Aayla as the ship descended and landed in his hanger, the mystery Aethersprite landing not far away along side. "What the hell have I gotten myself into? First, you show up out of nowhere, and now another Jedi has appeared. What's going on around here?" He spoke while looking at Aayla, but he wasn't actually speaking to her. He flipped a switch, and the loading door of the ship opened, allowing Farren to step out. He stepped aside and allowed room for Aayla to exit behind him, and leaned against his ship with his arms crossed and one foot up against the hull, while he waited for their new companion to exit his ship.

Aayla didn’t even move at first. She merely sat with her head in her hands. That was a bloody, uncoordinated disaster. What kind of operation was this rogue running? And now -another- rogue Jedi was joining them?
She finally stood and silently followed Farren off the ship, completely ignoring whatever words were coming out of his mouth. ”Calm down. Remember your training. Detach. Dissociate. Do what you have to - keep your emotions checked. Let no one see the weakness. You’re fine, you’ll pull through it... Her train of thought ended when she saw the weapons that Farren had gotten from the ship. Reading the descriptions on the cartons, she stiffened. “Do... do you know what those are? What they’re meant for? Or did you just happen to grab them?” Her voice quavered, but she stood tall as she walked up to him, close enough that she didn’t have to speak at a normal volume for him to hear her.

Jaren saw landed near his new companions, trying to figure out how to approach the situation. He sat in his Aethersprite for a good few minutes, mulling over what his first move would be. "This could be some elaborate trap set up by the empire," he thought to himself, "although, they did help with those TIE fighters. Why would the empire shoot down their own troops just to kill one Jedi?" He kept debating it in his head.
He watched as two figures step out of the HH-87. His eye was immediately drawn to one of them, a Twi'lek. He noticed it was the same one that he'd seen on the poster on Tatooine, albeit much worse for wear than her wanted poster. The other person was a human man, a much more foreboding looking character. " Alright, better go out and meet them." Jaren stepped out of his ship, lightsabers on his hips with his hands resting on them with a cloak covering his torso. He walked a few paces towards the two said to them "Hello there. I'm Jaren, and you are?" He was ready for a fight, but hoping he could sort everything out peacefully.

Farren turned to Aayla and nodded, indicating that he knew exactly what the weapons he took were. "We'll deal with those later," he breathed quietly to her. He didn't want this new person to know what was going on.
"Hello, there. I am Farren Sefu. Welcome to my humble abode. I'd ask who you are, but I'd rather just see your ID." Without a second's hesitation, Farren extended his hand and focused on the item that this man was clutching under his cloak. A familiar cylindrical object shot out from the man's right side, and landed in Farren's hand. The second item was left where it was. Farren turned the saber over in his hands, examining every detail. "Very interesting design. I see two activator switches. How curious. Dual blade, perhaps?" Flicking one of the switches, an array of electricity sparked to life over the emitter. "Ah. A stun baton setting. Very unique. I never thought to modify in a secondary weapon feature like that. So that must mean that this switch is..." upon disengaging the stun baton, Farren hit the other activator switch, and a crimson orange blade erupted from the emitter. It wasn't quite the pure red of a standard Sith, but it was pretty close. Immediately, Farren held out the acquired weapon in a practiced Soresu ready stance, prepared to protect himself from this would be assassin. "Care to explain this blade, 'Jedi'?" He asked sternly, exaggerating the emphasis of the word Jedi to imply a mocking tone. Simultaneously, he side-stepped to place himself between Aayla and this so-called Jedi.

‘Later?! ‘Later’ he says, I -“ she stammered, unable to regulate her heartbeat any longer. She huffed, turning to stare at the new comer. She barely had a chance to stammer out her name before she saw the tint of the blade. She quickly put her hand on the holster on her hip.
But she knew she couldn’t protect herself. Not in the state she was in. “You...you’re not a Sith? He’s not a Sith, right?” She stammered, staring at Jaren. She could... almost feel something coming from him. From Farren as well. But she was too frazzled to focus on it at all. She took a few steps back, taking a deep breath through her nose. “My name is Aayla. But there’s a lot of explaining you have to do....N-now..”

As soon as he felt his saber removed from his hip, Jaren immediately drew his other saber to defend himself, the orange light radiating around him. " The color is thanks to the crystal from an assassin sent to kill myself and my master. I took his saber as a trophy and constructed my own from it. "
He readied himself for a full on dual, recalling things he learned from master Windu, "channel your inner Dark to fuel your weapon's Light." Jaren replied, " I don't want to hurt you, I am who I say I am." He lowered his blade towards the ground, no longer in a defensive or offensive position. Then he looked over at Aayla, she looked absolutely terrible. Jaren said, "Your friend over there looks like she is about to collapse. She needs medical attention soon, or that leg will get infected. I'm not here to kill you." Jaren was trying his best to lower tensions, not wanting to get into a full blown conflict.

Farren watched as the man named Jaren drew his second saber, of the same color as the one he held, and then lowered it not long after. This is what he had hoped would happen, and lowered the counterpart saber and shut it down.
"It's interesting that you have twin sabers with the same color. That means there's dark side in you enough to alter the hue of your second kyber crystal. But that's none of my business," he said, underhand tossing Jaren's saber back to him. "Yes, this is Aayla. I stumbled across her just yesterday. I picked this place to stay in relative obscurity, but now I can't seem to stop attracting people. Come here, young one."
Farren turned around and went to scoop Aayla up behind her knees and back, in an attempt to carry her. "Her leg should be fine, but -someone- won't stop messing with her dressings. Let's go set her down so you and I can talk, Jaren. I'm sure we have a lot to catch up on." Farren went to move away from the ships to a door on the far side of the hanger, which would lead down to his underground base. He paused at the door and waited for Jaren to react.

Aayla wanted to snap back that he hadn’t merely found her, but nearly blew her up - but she couldn’t find it within her to open her mouth. A new feeling - especially to her. As soon as her body felt the slightest bit of support from Farren, she felt her legs involuntarily give out from sheer stress. Her cheeks turned a slightly darker shade of blue as she huffed. “I can walk, you know. It’s - it’s really not as bad as it looks... right?”
She looked from one Jedi to the other. She wished she knew more about the Jedi than what her officers had told her, but she opted to throw that thinkng out the window. These men were different from all she had thought they would have been. Something about them made her feel comforted somehow. But the glowing orange blade still hummed in the back of her mind as she let Farren carry her to the base.

Jaren shut off his saber he held in his hand while catching the twin Farren had thrown back and clipped both back on to his belt. " Indeed, I imagine we both have much to share." Jaren said. He walked into the underground base behind Farren, who was carrying Aayla, " You were a former Jedi weren't you? No mere force sensitive would've sensed that I was armed, let alone have the speed and precision that you did." Jaren said to Farren. Jaren was trying to glean as much information as possible from his new companions, "how many other Jedi survived?" he wondered to himself, as he followed his host.

Farren nodded his head in reply to Jaren's inquiry about his Jedi status. "Farren Sefu, Jedi Knight. Padawan to Master Luna Tranyen. Commander of the 37th Battalion. I know that a Jedi is never without his weapon if he can help it. As far as survivors, I thought I was the only one until you came along. What have you been doing this past year? How did you even end up at the planet at the same time as us?"
Farren walked until he was back in the medical wing that he had Aayla in before they left for that mission. He laid her down on a bed and went to grab a new portable bacta pack. "This one would have been fine by now if she didn't stop messing with her bandages. Her would was serious, but that's the magic of bacta packs. She'll be just fine by morning if she can just hold still. Isn't that right, Stubs?" Farren chuckled as he went about reapplying the wrappings.

Aayla listened with her eyes half closesd as Farren rattled off the facts she already knew about him from her Imperial briefings. She remembered seeing what she thought was his saber countless times - hearing the stories of how all of the Jedi were slaughtered. But if they were to come across a Jedi, they were to follow a special set of training instructions to bring them down. She shook her head viciously as Farren set her down, eager to get the thought out of her head.
She winced and wanted nothing more than to smack his hands away from her aching leg. “Look, I don’t like this thing - it’s uncomfortable. And my name isn’t Stubs... Wait - you’re going to just leave me here on my own?” She asked, hugging herself to keep her hands from stopping his healing process. The base wasn’t necessarily scary - but it was a little drafty, and with the way she was feeling, she didn’t really want to be on her own, if she could help it. Even if she knew she needed the rest.

Jaren said to Farren " I've been a bounty hunter in the outer rim territories for the past year. Being a warrior without a cause is a pointless existence, so I figured I'd use my skills for profit. Now don't get the wrong idea, I'm not a killer, most marks I take are just escort jobs, bring a shipment of water across the deserts of Tatooine for moisture farmers you know what I mean? As for why I was at Scarif, I saw Aayla's wanted poster in a bar and it was like I could feel the force was with her. So I hit the trail, I visited most planets to refuel and to meditate, my meditations led me to Scarif." Jaren chuckled at Aayla's bellyaching about her dressings " If you keep fiddling with those bandages we might as well call you Stubs.". "What have you been doing this past year? I can't imagine you spent all your time doing nothing on this planet."

Farren patted Aayla on the head when he finished, and walked to the other side of the room, sitting in a box there. "I've been.....I don't know what I am, to be honest. After the death of my master and my subsequent escape, I fled here. I remembered this base from stories of Master Skywalker and the betrayal of Master Krell. I figured the last place anyone would look for a Jedi survivor would be on such a would where that disaster occurred, and a former Separatist planet, to boost. Being here gave me access to vehicles, weapons, and supplies that have proved vital to my survival. And I used those to get revenge, I suppose. I also have done work for hire, but I wouldn't call myself a bounty hunter, because I don't actively seek work. I overhear a person in trouble and offer my services, without revealing my identity or skills. Otherwise, I do self-appointed missions, such as the one you stumbled across. I have a contact who informed me of the date and time of that shipment. I need to remember to thank him for this, even though it didn't seem to go according to plan. That about sums it up. I guess I am a rebel without a cause. I can't bring down the Empire alone, but I can sure as hell make their lives miserable along the way."
Turning to Aayla, he chuckled at her. "We're not gonna leave you here, but you should take it easy. We got away clean. Take a breath. I realize I didn't give you a chance to do that earlier. We're safe here. You can relax now. Decompress. Maybe tell us what's going on in your head about this situation. Perhaps you can explain to Jaren why you are wanted and how he sensed the Force in you."

Growling at Farren and batting his hand away from her head, her eyes sort of locked on Jaren. “You... there are wanted posters for me already?! A girl pushes some boys and suddenly, the galaxy errupts into chaos,” she huffed, crossing her arms and leaning back a little. “Are you two the shining examples of what becomes of rogue Jedi? Dashing, trouble making galactic vigilantes?” She shook her head, relieved to know they wouldn’t leave her, for now.
“I wouldn’t call that ‘getting away clean’. You stole some really, really powerful shit. And the Empire won’t take it lightly. You’ll be lucky if they don’t rip the galaxy apart looking for you. And not only that - but you showed them that they missed two Jedi. This could get messy fast.”
She smirked - and noted to herself that her smile was another sign of shock. “Don’t either of you worry, I’ll stop messing with it...Anyway, Jaren - I’m.. I found out I was Force sensitive after an incident on my base. I was being harassed by some assholes about being Twi’lek - they were mad that I’m a better pilot than they’d ever be. Still am. But when things got physical, I got scared. Next thing I know, I..” She looked at her hands almost as if she were afraid of them. “I pushed them away from me. I didn’t physically touch any of them.. Needless to say, a lot of shooting happened after that. Next thing I know, I wake up with a useless leg, a headache, and some Jedi trying to blow me up,” she quipped, pointing at Farren for the last part of her tale.

Jaren leaned his side on the doorway to the room, taking note of his surroundings. This was a common practice after a year of mercenary work, and many times in the past it's saved his skin. He looked over to the table where Aayla was recovering,"Yes, there are posters already. You exhibit force abilities the Empire takes notice." Jaren chuckled. He listened to Aayla's story with great interest in how the Force awoke within her. "Very interesting, strange how it never manifested itself sooner. I'm sorry that you had to go through that, though I don't know what you expected from the same empire who decided to annihilate all the peace keepers in the Galaxy." Jaren said to her.
He turned his attention to Farren, " So you blow her ship up, then take care of her, and then your first idea is to take her on a suicide mission to steal from the imperials? What a way to start a friendship." Jaren joked. His tone changed to something more serious. Jaren said " So what do you plan on doing with her once she's recovered? Surely you won't just let her go without teaching how to control her new power. She could prove useful, especially if she masters her abilities." Jaren waited intently on Farren's response.
