Farren made himself a plate and ate, then walked over to Aayla. "I can take you to the barracks and lay you in a bunk. If you stop messing with your bacta pack, your leg should be back to normal by morning. Nothing was broken, just lots of muscle damage. Simple stuff." He would remain by Aayla's side and help her walk or carry her as needed.
"Good night, Jaren. Perhaps we'll see you in the morning." He added as the former padawan left the room and retreated to his own bunk. Turning back to Aayla, he spoke again. "Your leg aside, are you sure you want to do this? It's not too late to get out. I have plenty of ships here with decent hyperdrives. They can take you to Outer Rim and you can lay low there. This is a challenging and dangerous path. This is your last chance to run." He stared at her solemnly, awaiting her reply.

“Good night, Jaren! See you in the morning,” she said, giving a tired smile as he walked out of the room.
“Thanks, I’ll probably need the help.” She threw Farren an odd look. “‘Perhaps’ we’ll see him? What’s he going to do, fly away?” She poked at the leftovers on her plate, listening to him intently. She could run. She could leave and forget this and try to find a safe place to hide... if such a place existed. She was no coward. And she would prove that til her last breath.
“I can’t run. And even if I could, I wouldn’t. My path is chosen. I will not stray,” she stated matter-of-factly. “I’m sure there are actual vows or something to take, but this is mine - I will not die until I’ve become the best person and Jedi I can be. And that means you’re stuck with me until that happens.” She smiled at him a little. She wanted it to show promise and a willing nature. What it did was half that - and only confirmed that the young former pilot was very tired and sore. “Help me to bed, please?”

Farren helped lift Aayla to her feet and put her weight against him. Together, they would walk down the hall to the barracks and find an empty bunk, away from Jaren. "I just meant that he doesn't have to necessarily be there for lessons. He's already gone through official training before the Empire. I know he's not gonna high tail it out of here. Then again, there are plenty of ships to choose from if he felt like leaving. And, for what it's worth, I'm glad you decided to stay. I'm happy I didn't shoot you down after all. There's an oath, but we don't have to worry about it. Now, let's you to rest. You need it." With that, Farren help Aayla into her bed, laid her down, adjusted her bacta patch to maximize effectiveness, and walked out of the room. *Farren, Aayla, and Jaren's stories continue in Jedi Boot Camp*
