(Continued from “Captains of the Guard”
As the Loyalist dropped out of hyperspace, and settled in orbit around Tatooine, Third Brother was already back on board the LAAT that had been used to drop him off. This time, however, he was alone, save for the pilot. Also missing was his Imperial issue attire. He was now dressed in ragged clothing similar to what outlaws and bounty hunters would wear, and that was covered by shin and arm guards from both stormtrooper and clone trooper armor. He was giving instructions to the pilot when Margo and Calla entered.
“What do you think you’re wearing?” Margo asked, clearly confused by the wardrobe change. “That makes you look like a disheveled bounty hunter, or even a wayward Jedi. That is clearly not proper Imperial attire.”
“My dear, this mission calls for class and grace. If I hope to track the true location of the Jedi, I can’t just go barging in there waving my Imperial credentials around. That would send us on a never ending hunt for nothing. What better way to find a lost Jedi than to appear as a friend? That is why I am going alone. You are to remain here and wait further instructions. Pilot, take us away.” He replied. His voice was not as confrontational as before, but he clearly acted as though he was still in command, and there was a condescending air about his words, as if he felt Margo was too naive to understand what he was doing.
“Like hell you are,” Margo retorted, and held a hand to the pilot, belaying his order. “This is my ship, my mission. I demand you take an investigative team with you.”
“No. They will only be in my way. Now, stand aside.” The gruffness was returning to his voice, clearly agitated.
“Then I am going with you. There will be no unauthorized expeditions. We both will, right, Captain Midanyl?” she turned and looked at Calla, as if waiting for her blessing before boarding.
