Name: Entrid Tungsin
Age: 150
Sex: Male
Appearance:
Hair color: N/A
Eye Color: Red
Height: 3’2”
Weight: 189 lbs
Species: Asogian
Home Planet: Brodo Asogi, raised on Coruscant
Organization*: Rebellion (in secret)
Occupation*: Bartender on Coruscant
Personality: Entrid is a cool collected type, and doesn’t much enjoy violence. He carries a blaster to defend himself, and is quite a good marksman when he needs to, as he spends a few hours a week at a nearby shooting range. However, he does not like using it against others. He prefers to work with his hands and is surprisingly tech savvy, though not many know that. He does not wish this skill to be known, for fear the Empire would force him to use it for dark purposes.
Background: Entrid was born on Brodo Asogi in 168 BBY, but raised on Coruscant, not long after his parents fled their home planet during a small civil war in 155BBY. As he grew, Asogi became fascinated with all the machinery and computers other technology that Coruscant had to offer, which was all a far cry from what they had known on their planet, which was heavily covered in planet-life and built modestly around that to keep the environment intact. His parents opposed his sudden obsession and apparent dependence of the tech they had at their disposal, but didn’t do much about it as the entire planet they now called home was run on machines.
Entrid was a curious, gentle boy, but realized that even Coruscant had it’s problems. When they first moved there, they were unable to afford a luxury apartment, so they were forced to live in the more low-income areas. As a result, the family took measures to protect themselves against potential threats. While his parents armed themselves with stun sticks, Entrid decided to not let his enemy get too close. He preferred a blaster, and started with a small Kueget LN-21 pistol, modified to fire stun shots only. Typically used exclusively by Alderaan security personnel and politicians, Entrid was able to purchase his at a government surplus shop in Coruscant’s lower-income shopping district. He carried this weapon on him on a belt holster, in plain view as he was certified to carry such a weapon, due to its non-lethal nature.
The next 50 years were relatively uneventful for Entrid. He went to culinary school and got a job working in the senate building in the capital. Though not a politician, he got a job as a desk clerk keeping track of meetings and senate hearings and any other documents that needed to be filed for one reason or another. This allowed him to hone his computer skills while maintaining an eye on the pulse of the galaxy. Unfortunately, his peaceful life was shattered when his parents were killed by a fugitive who robbed them for their speeder, only to crash into a bridge trying to escape and die himself 10 minutes later. This event made Entrid decide he needed to get away from the site of his parents death, and he returned home to Brodo Asogi and joined the Republic delegation there, as part of Senator Grebleips’ entourage.
Entrid continued to serve Senator Grebleips on Brodo Asogi in relative obscurity until 32 BBY, when the Trade Federation blockade of Naboo called for an emergency meeting of the Senate. At this time, Entrid accompanied the senator back to Coruscant, where he watched as Chancellor Valorum was removed from power and helped to swear in his successor, Chancellor Sheev Palpatine. Entrid believed in Palpatine, and his position was justified as he helped end the blockade with the assistance of the Jedi. After this, Senator Grebleips saw no need to return home, so he and his entourage, including Entrid, remained on Coruscant, much to the glee of Entrid. He enjoyed being back on this tech-heavy planet, and the following 10 years saw very boring assignments, so he had plenty of free time and could work from home most days, though now he had a higher status and lived in a very comfortable apartment near the Senate building, complete with his own landing pad for his personal XJ-2 airspeeder, which he had specially modified to be bright green at default, but had colored lights added throughout that could change the color of the vehicle at will. Due to his relative freedom from work, Entrid spent a lot of time at a nearby firing range, as he had come into the habit of carrying a pistol from his previous time on Coruscant. Only this time around, he had traded in his old Kueget for a more powerful and lethal-grade VT-33d Blaster Pistol. This change was due to his political status, and he felt that he could be a target at some point. He eventually became very skilled with it, and hardly missed his target. In addition, Entrid spent a lot of time with computers, and got very skilled with coding, even getting arrested once for cracking the security at a local betting area and blowing the whistle on rigged races that he found by doing so.
However, his carefree life was cut short in 21 BBY during the outbreak of the Clone Wars. The next 2 years were incredibly stressful for Entrid, and he spent almost all his time in the Senate building, and his free time away from work was spent almost exclusively at the gun range. He was a very reliable aide, though, and did all that Senator Grebleips asked of him. He and his delegation all had complete faith in the Chancellor, and were doing his bidding with pride. Their stomachs dropped at the end of the war, however, when the Chancellor declared all Jedi as enemies of his newly formed Empire, and began hunting and executing them. Grebleips did not agree with this, and openly opposed him. Not long after, he was arrested for treason and never seen again. Rumors were that he had been killed. This betrayal shattered his faith in the new Emperor Palpatine.
With his life falling apart around him, Entrid resigned from politics and moved homes to a lower-class area of Coruscant, and got a job working in a bar in the lower levels. With the rise of the Empire’s forces, Entrid watched in silence as stormtroopers regularly barge in and hassle and arrest his patrons. Entrid himself was interrogated several times and his weapon was often found. However, he was smart enough to have the weapon legally licensed with a permit to carry on the premises of his bar, so there wasn’t anything the troopers could do to him, especially with the political connections Entrid still had. However, after a couple of months, Entrid couldn’t handle the constant interruptions, so he moved his business, surprisingly, into the heart of the military hub of Coruscant. The way he figured it, if he was serving the very troopers that were annoying him in the past, there would in fact be less confrontation among the ranks. In addition to this, drunk military and political officials tend to have loose lips. The way he figured it, he could maybe get the scoop on illicit activity to bring Palpatine out of power.
This opportunity finally presented itself when he was taking the trash out from the end of the night and found a cloaked man walking around the alley ripping down propaganda posters hung by the Empire, but only ones that made mention of the Jedi Purge. Entrid thought he saw the glint of a weapon, so he drew his own pistol and called out to the man. In an instant, his gun flew out of his hand and into the man’s hand. Entrid immediately put his hands up and said the first thing that came his mind. “I am not your enemy, Jedi. I just didn’t know who you were. My name is Entrid and I can help you.” The Jedi returned his weapon and approached. Introducing himself as Farren, the pair concocted a plan to take down the Empire together.
Weapon of Choice: VT-33d Blaster Pistol
Specialty: Computer Systems and Hacking. Skilled pistol marksman. Also makes a mean mixed drink.
Extra Information: Entrid goes by the nickname ET among his friends. He does not like violence, as the bar he works at is frequented by Imperial Officers and Stormtroopers on liberty. While they are a military bunch, they are not a violent bunch, as compared to typical barflies and hoodlums that frequent the more civilian bars.
