Name: Margo Delora
Age: 34
Sex: Female
Appearance:
Hair color: Red
Eye Color: Brown
Skin Color: Caucasian
Height: 5’6”
Weight: 149 lbs
Species: Human
Home Planet: Chandrila
Organization*: Galactic Empire
Occupation*: Captain in the Imperial Navy
Personality: Determined, but cocky. Margo has always been driven in her work, even when it the monotony of the base life. However, she was known for being a perfectionist, and if anything was done incorrectly or out of place, she would unleash her wrath on the guilty party or those suspected. The ease of her promotion didn’t help her ego, and now she finds herself feeling more entitled than before. She is not hated by those under her direct command, but she’s not their hero, either.
Background: Margo was formerly a “stay at home” type of officer during her career in the Republic Navy. While she was still a lieutenant in the armed forces, she was stationed on Coruscant at the primary barracks for the Grand Army. Her responsibilities there was basically ground control and dispatch, and the only time she saw combat was during the Zillo Beast tragedy, but even then, she did not have the chance to fire her weapon. It was one of the most boring assignments for a Republic Officer, even if it was important.
While she made friends with the clones and other soldiers and officers that came through the barracks, she never really had time to get too attached to anyone, as anyone who wasn’t stationed at that base with her was usually gone within hours of arriving. Her only source of comfort was a fellow lieutenant named Calla Midanyl, a newly stationed officer from Alderaan. The two women were housed in the same barrack and quickly became friends, with almost identical duty shifts. As time went on, and in an attempt to stay strong in a male dominated setting, the pair soon realized that their relationship had evolved beyond just friendship, and they soon found an apartment on base together, about a mile outside the standard barracks. Maggie and Callie, as they referred to each other, were very much in love, but still able to do their jobs with ease as they did not outrank each other. They lived happily and used each other to stay entertained and out of trouble on this boring detail.
Such was life for years, until Chancellor Sheev Palpatine reorganized the Republic into the first Galactic Empire. During this transition, Margo believed in the official story of the treachery of the Jedi, and she came forward with information as to where some of her former Jedi friends would be likely to go into hiding, had they survived. Calla didn’t approve of this move, as she had always admired and respected the Jedi, and didn’t want to betray her friends, even if they had allegedly betrayed the Republic. Even though she did not make steps to actively protect or warn Jedi she had contact with, she didn’t do anything to hunt them, either. Margo noticed this and confronted her. After arguing for hours, the pair realized they couldn’t stay with each other when they had such differing views on how to handle the situation, and Calla moved out a week later, returning to the barracks. Margo’s testimony, meanwhile, led to the locations and subsequent executions of 4 hiding Jedi, earning her a promotion to Captain, and the opportunity to command an Imperial Light Cruiser. Thrilled with the prospect of finally leaving the boring routine of the base, and no longer in a relationship with Calla to hold her back, she jumped at the chance, and now spends her time patrolling the galaxy with her troops, maintaining order, and putting down any resistance. Calla was not assigned to be part of this detachment, and remained on Coruscant as far as Margo was aware.
Extra Information*: During the Zillo Beast tragedy, despite not having the chance to engage in battle, Margo had been outside while the beast was on the rampage, and as such was struck by debris as it tore through the city. While not life threatening, the debris left her with a Z-shaped scar under her right eye, an ironic reminder to be more vigilant and not let her guard down at any time, even when not in a war zone.
