Geth Kai-No's story begins here
Geth Kai-No: "Hey C1-17, can you pass me that Spanner? It seems that one of our consoles has come loose" I call out from under our primary flight console. Ugh. We were en route to Corellia, but we had to get a sudden summons from someone in the Imperial Navy to head for Coruscant. I didn't even have time to change ships. Hopefully there's nothing too drastic about to happen. With a sigh, I take the spanner from C1 and start tightening the bolt for the console. "Hey C1, can you monitor the comm traffic in the area? See if you can find us some jobs? It looks like it might be time for an upgrade. Some of these connecter cables are getting out of date." I finish tightening the bolt and lock the console back in place. I get back up and push my chair back into place.
I look out the view port and take in the views of orbit. So much traffic. And I see a couple Destroyers out there too. Must be nice to have that kind of tech and funding. But at least I'm on their good-side. I send a transmission letting them know I've arrived, then go to the galley and grab a nice Corelian whiskey. "Might as well relax and enjoy my time while I wait for the Empire to contact me and tell me why I've been summoned." I go back to the flight deck and turn on the Holonet news, figuring there's probably something interesting happening on there.

After a few moments of silence, a burst of static would come over Geth’s comm system, followed by a rather bored sounding man speaking to him. “YT-2400 freighter, callsign: Tahiri’s Tears, this is Senior Lieutenant Ban of the Pelta-class Command Ship Rocktorn. We see you on our scanners and have received your transmission. Stay your present course as we transmit your assignment to your ship’s computer. Stand by.”
As the officer spoke, four fighters emerged from the ship’s ventral hanger, a pair each of RZ-1 A-wing starfighters, and the newer TIE/In space superiority fighters. They swooped around the ship and took flanking positions, one of each ship on each side. They would follow the ship wherever it may fly. During this time, the main computer screen lit up as a file loaded into the system. When loaded a message appeared on the console, written in Basic Aurebesh:
“You should have received your orders by now, bounty hunter. Our fighter escort will stay with you until you plot a course and make the jump to light speed to prevent any.....incidents. Be on your way immediately,” Ban spoke over the comm. There seemed to be a yawn between his words, as if his position of directing traffic was as tedious as it sounded.

Geth Kai-No:
In the midst of a sip from my beverage, I see the comm station signaling that I have an inbound message. "C1, activate voice modulation program and accept the communication." I hear C1 tweedle a reply as I down the rest of my drink. Time to get to business. The comm activates and I listen to the officer. "Acknowledged Rocktorn. Standing by." I watch as the job scrolls up on my console. Great, Ryloth. Should be interesting. "Thank you, Rocktorn, intel has been received. I appreciate the escort as well. We will be underway as soon as possible. Tahiri's Tears out." I cut the transmission and sigh. Seems like not everyone is as thrilled with their career as I used to be. I get up and go to the galley to return my glass to its home. On my way back to the flight deck I do a couple quick system checks on the coolant levels and general systems. Upon my return to the flight deck, I signal C1 to prep for departure. I strap into my crash webbing, muttering under my breath "Let's hope I don't encounter any lousy pilots like the ones we had around Mandalore," recalling the incident that made me use my crash webbing any time I left orbit. A lousy pilot had crashed into my transport when I was leaving once upon a time. Talk about a lot of paper work. Noticing an indicator flashing, I flip to the corresponding screen. it seemed on of the hydraulic pumps was reading an error. "C1, can you take a look at that? I'm gonna take us out, but I'd rather know if that's gonna fail with enough time to drop out of Hyperspace in one piece. I don't think it's critical, but it makes me nervous anyway." With C1's affirmative tweedle, I turn the ship onto an escape vector.
I signal my course change to the traffic controller and see the fighter escort change vectors with me. I punch in my standard random jump system, followed by the coordinates for my base in the Navi Computer and get ready for the jump. I signal over the intercom that we are about to jump, and hear C1's acknowledgement. I make one last check, then hit it. With a smile, I watch space dissolve around me as we make our first jump.
[Geth and Tahiri's Tears exit from orbit]
