Background:
Elgarayne was a happy, sweet girl from a large family. Being extremely force sensitive, she was invited to join the Jedi. Through her studies, she came across Mace Windu’s notes on the Vaapad fighting style. Heavily intrigued, she began to teach herself. She would often go to a sparring room alone and attempt a few of the moves. A few days into this, a Shistavanen Jedi Master was drawn to her and attempted to help her figure out the secrets of the forbidden technique. She soon learned that his name was Lu’Kai and that he had a rather unconventional way of thinking about the Order and belief in how they should go about doing things. The pair spent many weeks meeting in secret to practice this style, though they could never quite master it. Something felt…off.
When the Masters discovered this, they became incredibly concerned. Irritated by their mistrust of her (and not understanding the corruptive abilities of the style), she willingly left the Jedi. She was on a farming moon in the Outer Rim when the pain of Order 66 and all the Jedi death’s came ripping at her through the Force. She didn’t quite understand what it meant. Because of the life she had chosen to live, it took her a few weeks to obtain a ship that could get her to Coruscant, completely unaware of what happened or what would be waiting for her there. She never made it.
She emerged from hyperspace in the Core by an orbital refueling station, and there she found an old friend, or someone who used to be. The being she knew as Jedi Master Lu’Kai was on the platform interrogating the owner, but he looked very different. He was wearing black and gray armor with a strange crest on the shoulders, and a sleek black helmet with a retracting face mask. His ears perked up as she drew near, and he looked at her. When it registered who she was, he slashed the station owner across the chest with a strange looking red lightsaber, killing him instantly. Elgarayne found that she wasn’t as disturbed by this as she should have been, instead keenly listening to everything Lu’Kai said. He wanted her to meet his new Master and be trained under him. She gladly went with him.
Darth Vader’s training sessions left her broken; a particular wound given to her finally being the catalyst to her fall. 13th Sister now stands where Elgarayne once stood. And she is unapologetic about that.

Her saber color is red...but slightly tinged purple, as if to show some part of her still cleaves to hope. It is barely detectable.
